that was just ridiculously good fun yesterday. again, again, again!! x

I am just going to continue with the comments streaming in and insert some pictures and even a poem
ENJOY it is a beautiful world !
Let's Start with the poem

An Ode To The Great Naked Bide Ride

Starting from The Full Moon on oh so trendy Stokes Croft
We're gonna get together and take our clobber off
The Full Moon will be our start if you were getting our drift
We'll line up outside the pub and then we'll start to shift
We have to watch out for bumps, hills and any hidden dips
Better not take food or drink in case of any dodgy drips
It's gonna be a car free day and we got some great sound gear
The Rinky dink bicycle soundsystem will be riding up the rear
Come and get naked with us! Be there, as bare as you dare!
Just splash some body paint on your bits and that's all you need to wear
You can decorate your bike of course it's all for a good cause
Just make sure if you're borrowing a bike you use a bit o' gauze

Thank you Susie Taylor

Guys and girls. That was simply amazing today! I enjoyed every bit of it. It was nice to see so many smiley people riding and just observing. I think we really made an impact. Thumbs up to wonderful organisers! Whoop whoop!

I saw you all today, was one of those amazed people with their jaws on the floor. Your effort worked though as it created awareness for your cause as I had to search what it was all about. Traffic free Sundays is a neat idea for a city like Bristol - good luck

I loved how everyone stopped in their tracks as the group approached, and as soon as it went there was a happy buzz in the air: people smiling and laughing.

very silly. Top marks to the guy on the Penny Fathing
I so enjoyed being on the Bristol Naked Bike ride.  I haven't ridden a bike for years as I have become too frightened.  However, today was a big step towards regaining my confidence and such fun.

Bristol World Naked Bike Ride

A peaceful, imaginative and fun protest against oil dependency and car culture.
A celebration of the bicycle and of the power and individuality of the human body.
A symbol of the vulnerability of the cyclist in traffic.
To promote the idea of regular Car Free Sundays in Bristol City Centre and more traffic free environments and healthy hearts.

HAPPY HEARTS IN CAR FREE CITIES

Sunday June 13th
at the Full Moon, Stokes Croft

AS BARE AS YOU DARE

What to wear?
Do not fear!

The World Naked Bike Ride dress code is "Bare As You Dare"... How bare is that ?
How dare is that ?...Its all up to you, you decide what you are comfortable with.

No one is excluded or discriminated against based on levels of clothing, bodypaint, or anything else, for that matter!
